There is not an Early Bird Discount for the CIT program. Send only the $50 registration fee with your registration. It will be refunded if you are not accepted in the CIT program. The balance of the fee is due 15 days after notice of acceptance.

So you have always wanted to be on staff at Camp Hat Creek? Well now is your chance, because you and several others who are just as interested will come to CHC and learn some of the things that are necessary to be a good counselor and a stronger disciple of Jesus. We have three different groups who come to camp as Counselors in Training (CIT) depending on your year in high school. Each camp is unique and full of activities that will excite your mind and challenge you both emotionally and spiritually. Each year of the CIT program helps campers develop new abilities and understandings of the workings of camp and the rigors of family life with ten to twelve children. Several of the staff whom you have come to love are graduates of this same camp, and they have mentioned that it has enabled them to come onto staff a step ahead because of their working knowledge of camp life. When you come as a Senior CIT, be prepared to stay for two weeks and to be active with the summer staff over the weekend, having dinner together and going on some kind of an adventure during the day on Saturday. You will join the counselors for worship on Sunday and begin the week with some campers of your own as you work alongside two other counselors in a family unit. If you think this is the camp for you, plan ahead. We do not accept all applicants.

The registration deadline is April 10. When you register, a letter will be sent requesting additional information. Deadline for that information is May 1 and final selections will be made by May 10. This information is required even if you have sent similar information in prior years.
