Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. Where will I sleep? A. All of our campers live in family groups made up of two counselors and up to 12 campers (6 boys and 6 girls). Most of our camps sleep in rustic cabins we call hogans. Wild Wilderness campers sleep out in a platform tent and teepee! Adventure campers spend much of their time camping out off site at the locations of their activities. Q. Where do I go to the bathroom? A. Each of the hogans and the Kris Kin are within sight of a bathhouse. Just a short walk will bring you to a brightly lit facility with all your bathroom needs. Q. What time does camp begin? A. Picking up a camper early disrupts the family group experience. Early pickup is discouraged. Q. Will I like the food? A. Most campers find the food is really good! Meals are served family style around tables in the dining hall. The menus are wholesome and "kid friendly". There are also opportunities for cooking out during the week. Q. I take medicine. Do I bring it to camp? A. Yes, you bring your medicine to camp and leave it with the medical staff when you check-in. They will see that you get your medicine on time and as directed by your doctor. Only bring prescription medicine, and keep it in its original container. Q. Will I be with my friends? A. If you and your friend request each other, and you are in the same age group, it is likely that you will be together. We do our best to match up friends on request, but we can't guarantee it! You will meet and get to know many new kids your age in your group whether or not you come to camp with someone you already know. Please Note: It is difficult to balance the needs of families to pick up their child at a convienient time and the need of our staff for rest adn renewal time between weeks of camp. Therefore, all camps will end with a closing program on the day and time specified in the camp descriptions. |
