Camp & Conference Committee Mission Statement

To proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ:
By providing a place for retreat, revival, renewal and prayer.
By providing an opportunity for spiritual and personal growth through encountering God in the outdoors.
By supporting the mission of The Presbytery of the Peaks and its member churches.

Outdoor ministry has been a part of The Presbytery of the Peaks and its antecedent Presbyteries for over forty years. Our camping program has had a tremendous impact on the faith journeys of literally thousands of campers and staff, leading them to a deeper understanding of their faith and a closer walk with the Lord. The facilities at Hat Creek and Fincastle have served many generations in this mission. We celebrate this legacy and the importance it has played in so many lives. No one can take that away. The Camp and Conference Committee desires to continue this rich heritage of Christian nurture and education and to serve as good stewards of our God given resources.
